In April 1991, A.M.S. Electronics personnel met with the owners of Grace Industries to review a new proto-type safety alarm device. It warns the firefighter of rapid heat rise and goes into alarm mode in the event they are overcome or knocked down and cannot move. In April 1991, Grace accepted the first group of 100 units. Currently Grace sells 3,000 superpass units a month along with other safety equipment apparatus they have designed. We have worked hand in hand with Grace in manufacturing new designs that have gone from thru-hole to surface mount to meet the stringent requirements of the F.P.C. regulations.

Despite appearances, both of these tracking units are fully functional. The one on the right survived being left behind by a fireman in a burning building, and was still operational when it was recovered. And most importantly, so was the fireman who depended upon it. This level of reliability was brought about by a partnership between A.M.S. Electronics and Grace Industries.

Tippins is a Pittsburgh based corporation supplying the steel industry both here and in the U.S. and internationally with steelmaking machinery.

A.M.S. Electronics has supplied Tippins with newly design printed circuit boards and A.M.S. has reverse engineered boards to replace printed circuit boards that are no longer available from the original manufacturers.
